My aging mother needed attentive help and she wasn't getting it from the typical GNA. Then I met Matilda Charles and knew immediately she was a cut above. For 4 years she and I have worked together to make my Mother’s remaining years comfortable and active, and throughout she has been a most caring, dependable and professional partner.

I like that she anticipates problems and is proactive. That is very important because Iive 2,500 miles away from my mother. When the weather is bad and roads are closed she finds replacements and sends me a text or email. When my Mom has a medical need she brings it to my attention and we agree on an action plan. She then accompanies my mother to the doctor’s office, helping her to understand what is going on and providing me with valuable feedback.

And inside my Mom's room she keeps things organized, monitors the mail (and emails), attends carefully to my Mom, hygiene and dresses her with style and care, giving her a feeling of dignity. I also like that she is a college graduate and certified as both a G.N.A. and C.N.A.

She communicates well, has great people skills and is always pushing the ball forward. My siblings who visit my Mom more often all are delighted with Matilda and her team’s work.
